Main objective
Branding / Enteractions
Let’s embark on a captivating case study, weaving the design narrative for the Queen Mary—a majestic ocean liner steeped in history and now permanently docked in Long Beach, California. Our journey unfolds through five distinct stages;
Banner of Allure Events Unfurled
At the heart of the Queen Mary lies its vibrant events calendar. Our challenge: design an iconic banner that captures the essence of each gathering. The banner unfurls like billowing sails, announcing concerts, galas, and themed soirées. A symphony of colors—deep ocean blues, sunset oranges, and gilded gold—invites visitors to explore. Dynamic animations reveal glimpses of upcoming festivities, enticing guests to book tickets. Whether it’s a jazz night or a masquerade ball, the banner dances with anticipation.

Wayfinding
Simplified
Imagine stepping onto the digital deck of the Queen Mary. At the bottom of every screen, our Compass Rose awaits—a subtle yet powerful guide, anchored like a ship’s anchor. It points the way. As users explore, subtle animations mimic the gentle sway of the vessel. Tap the rose, and it unfurls—a menu, like sails catching the wind. We made Augmented Reality markers to lead out visitors along the actual decks
Harbor of Memories
The Queen Mary thrives on stories—of love, adventure, and discovery. Our final stage celebrates these narratives. Users share their experiences: a romantic dinner in the Grand Salon, a ghostly encounter in the engine room, or a sunrise yoga session on the sun deck. These echoes weave into the app’s fabric, creating a living tapestry. Monochromatic photo galleries, haikus, and audio snippets evoke eras gone by. The Queen Mary, once a vessel of dreams, now sails on the winds of collective memories—a grayscale symphony of time.
Booking the Voyage
Every journey begins with a stateroom. Our focus: seamless booking mobile and desktop app. Users find themselves in a virtual cabin. Deck plans materialize, guiding them to choose their quarters. The booking process mirrors the ship’s elegance: smooth, intuitive, and adorned with maritime motifs. As guests select their accommodations, they glimpse the moonlit waves through virtual portholes. The Queen Mary’s legacy becomes their own—a monochromatic voyage into history.
